Nurse Anesthesia Education in California

CANA works closely with the three (3) educational institutions graduating CRNAs in California. All are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. As with all nurse anesthesia educational programs throughout the United States, the educational requirements for admission to a California Nurse Anesthesia Program include the following:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other appropriate baccalaureate degree
  • Fulfillment of all appropriate program specific requirements
  • A Minimum of One Year of Acute Care Nursing
  • A Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
