We are seeking a CRNA to provide routine and emergency anesthesia care and resuscitative support to our obstetric patients.

Must be a graduate of a Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Program approved program with current certification by the Council, CA RN license and BLS. Experience initiating, monitoring and maintaining regional anesthesia required; Prior OB anesthesia experience preferred.

Candidates must be highly dependable with good interpersonal skills. Experience in OB and trauma is preferred. The Kern Medical Center is a 222-bed general acute care hospital. As the only designated Level II Trauma Center between Los Angeles County and Fresno, Kern Medical Center sees a fair amount of trauma patients but more than 50% of cases are performed on an outpatient basis and majority of all cases are orthopedic in nature. Kern Medical Center also has a very busy OB service with overall and primary cesarean section rates at 28% and 13% respectively. The surgery service runs six room’s full time and performs 450 cases per month with the average case completed in 1 – 2 hours.
